Professional Careers

Engineering Project Management (1954 to 1969).  I started this career as a draftsman while attending NJIT evening classes, progressed into positions as a designer, then into project management, where I managed engineers, draftsmen, and lab technicians in the design and development of fluid control products.  I have published papers and received patents.  My employers were:

• Eastern Aircraft Products, East Orange, NJ (Designer)
• Weatherhead Company, Cleveland, Ohio (Project Manager)
• Hoke, Inc., Cresskill, NJ (Chief Engineer, New Product Development)

Human Resources & Change Management Consulting(1969 to 1995). As the challenge of managing people eclipsed the challenge of designing and producing technical products, I shifted my career to human resources and gained extensive experience in recruitment and selection, and in designing and presenting programs in management and organizational development, performance management, and change management.  My employers were:

• ITT Corporation, Industrial Credit Corp., Saint Paul, MN (Director of Human
       Resources)
• ITT Corporation, Business Communications Division, Des Plaines, IL (Vice President,
       Administration)
• ITT Corporation, The Hartford Insurance Group, Hartford, CT (Director of Human
       Resources, Property/Casualty Group)
• Booz Allen Hamilton, assigned to Jakarta, Indonesia (Senior Consultant)
• Alexander & Alexander, Inc., Owings Mills, MD (Director of Recruiting and
       Professional Development)

Business Owner/Entrepreneur (1995 to 2011). I left the corporate world to start businesses that applied my skills to meeting strong needs felt by brokers and agents of commercial insurance.

• The CIB Group, LLC, recruits talented young salesmen into careers with brokers / agents and provides training and tools to help the recruits succeed.  I sold this business and retired in July, 2011.
• ProducerForce.com is a Web-based program I designed that helps salesmen manage the commercial insurance sales process and be more successful.  This business was also sold in 2011.
