Doron’s Core Beliefs

Evil and Most Suffering

Evil and most suffering is brought upon humans and upon all life on earth by humans, and will lessen as humans evolve to live more in  their spiritual nature.

Bad things happen to us all and evil is present in the world.  How can that be if the God-like Divine Life Force that permeates the universe is good and merciful?  My answer is simple: God or The Force does not create evil and bad things – we do.

I have the free will to ignore The Divine Life Force, to behave with hate, greed, and self-centeredness in my life, to smother any love or caring and  render pain, suffering, and even death upon other humans, and to destroy nature.  I can bring evil upon this world.

Yes, we humans do not create natural disasters, earthquakes, tsunamis, tornadoes, etc., that can render pain, suffering, and death.  But it has been shown that animals possess a “sixth sense” that warns them of impending disasters.  I believe that we possess the same sense, that the Divine Life Force can protect us from disasters and minimize pain and suffering if we are open to receive its messages.

And yes, individuals do not create their genes, genes that may carry devastating diseases.  These genes are, of course, passed down from previous generations.  I ponder what our civilization would be like if, from its very inception, humans had lived with Divine Guidance following spiritual laws.  Would we live healthier because our ancestors would have had healthy eating and exercise habits?  Would hate, greed, and self-centeredness be largely nonexistent because caring, compassion, and love would dominate our lives?  Would our planet and all other life on it be healthier because we think and behave as stewards?  Would bacterial plagues not exist because Divine Guidance directs us in either how to avoid conditions in which they grow and/or how to support our body’s defenses against them?

If the answers to these questions are Yes, we would be living in nirvana, in heaven, without the pain and suffering we – not a Deity -- inflict upon ourselves.
